Former Muscatine head coach Susan Orvis, a Hawkeyes alum from the 1990s, believes that Iowa’s ability to overcome Monday’s challenges is a positive sign for their future games.
“It was not the ideal game script for them, but they adapted well,” Orvis commented. “They were able to grind it out defensively, and I believe that’s the mindset they need moving forward. While they may encounter tough matchups, I have faith in their team’s capabilities. With playmakers like Clark and a collective effort from all players, Iowa has a good chance to succeed in the upcoming games. It’ll be exciting to see how they perform in the next couple of weeks.”
