Hutchinson Community College Women’s Basketball Team Makes History with First National Championship Win

The Hutchinson Community College women’s basketball team made history by winning their first-ever national championship in a hard-fought game against defending champions Northwest Florida State. The Blue Dragons outscored their opponents 19-11 in overtime to claim victory with a final score of 88-80. Freshman forward Hailey Jackson’s clutch free throws at the end of regulation sent the game into overtime, where she continued to shine by scoring the first two baskets to lead her team to victory.

This championship win marks a significant milestone for the Hutchinson women’s basketball program, completing an undefeated season with a perfect 37-0 record.
