Every day, the NHL.com hockey pool experts team provides an overview of the different teams that will face off and identifies some players who could stand out and have success.

ATTACKER
Conor Garland, VAN (vs LAK) – No one would complain about playing alongside Elias Pettersson, especially not Garland. The small winger is on an excellent offensive streak, having been held scoreless only once in his last seven games. During this period, Garland has scored three goals and four assists, in addition to firing 19 shots on goal. Nils Hoglander, who completes the trio with Pettersson and Garland, can also be an interesting target, as he scored two goals in the Canucks’ last game.

Justin Faulk, STL (vs VGK) – The Blues defenseman is racking up assists like hotcakes lately. Faulk has recorded seven assists, including two on the power play, in his last seven games, and has a plus-7 differential. Faulk contributes to the Blues’ success, who have won six of their last seven games as they try hard to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Logan Thompson, VGK (vs STL) – Thompson has triumphed in his last two starts, allowing only two goals on 43 shots (save percentage of .953). He will get the start as Adin Hill did not finish the game on Saturday against the Blue Jackets due to an injury. The Golden Knights have won five of their last seven games and have a chance to catch up with the Los Angeles Kings in the third spot of the Pacific Division. The motivation will be at its peak.
