The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida has issued an arrest warrant for Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton in connection with a domestic violence charge. Sutton, 29, is wanted for domestic battery by strangulation after allegedly assaulting a woman in Lutz, Florida.
The incident took place on March 7, and since then, police have been unable to locate Sutton. The sheriff’s office has posted a wanted poster with Sutton’s vehicle information, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
Sutton, who was entering his second season with the Lions after signing a three-year deal last offseason, has not responded to calls from detectives and has not been found at his home in neighboring Pinellas County.
The Detroit Lions released a statement acknowledging the situation and stating that they will continue to monitor the case but have no further comment at this time.
